SLEIDSE programme is working on a microfinance product adapted to Libyan specific needs to be released by 2018.
This European Union funded project, which is implemented by Expertise France, wants to open microfinance for young entrepreneurs in order to finance projects from 5,000 to 20,0000 Libyan Dinars. This type of products is thought to help small entrepreneurs master the first obstacles when creating their entreprises. It usually aims to provide them with the first small financing.
On the one hand, SLEIDSE is identifying a local NGO and a regional NGO (i.e. from the MENA region) in order to find experts on microfinance. On the other hand, it is liaising with international players such as the European Union, the World Bank or the European Investment Bank in order to find financial partners who could supplement this fund.
This important area of work will be complete by 2018 with the release of this microfinance product.
