A business plan competition was held in Tripoli, Libya, in August 2018 and awarded 3 outstanding business projects on a high-level ceremony held at Radisson Hotel. This event was organized by SLEIDSE project together with Seedstards World, a Swiss organization, and invited Mr Tameem Eddep, an award-winning Tunisian entrepreneur, as key mentor.
This business plan competition involved 11 businessmen selected among 100 applicants to participate in a bootcamp where they then received a pitch training; following this session, the 11 entrepreneurs were challenged to present their business ideas in front of a high-level audience composed of Libyan companies, key economic public authorities and international players.
3 winners were selected by mentors:
- Inspiration Lab, a fab lab for kids
- She Codes, a coding school
- Yummy, a mobile app for homemade food.
The event received attention from local medias, thus showing the strong interest and the active support received by such event in Libya.
